· Pas de Deux**
· PBT/Progressing Ballet Technique
· Stretching & Flexibility Training
· Casting and participation in the Jax City Ballet Company’s Biannual, full-length ballet performances
· Entry into the Jax City Ballet Company as a core member
* For Pro Y , we do accept students both on and off pointe ** Only for Pro D and E
If you are accepted to be part of the JCB Professional Program, then you will automatically become a core dancer with the Jax City Ballet Company. Part of training to become a professional ballerina is learning to perform on stage. We believe that dancers learn so much in the classroom, but equally as much backstage, and on stage. This is why our school offers two, full-length ballet performances per year. As such, the expectation is that every Pro student/Company Member will audition and perform in the two productions we hold biannually. In the professional ballet world, performance is your livelihood. So, the opportunity to dance in these productions is an invaluable part of the program.
Application Process:
An Application is required for any dancer interested in the JCB Pre-Professional Program.
Acceptance into the Pre-Professional program will be based on JCB faculty review of each dancer’s experience and abilities. An audition may be requested by the School’s Directors to ensure proper program placement. Video auditions are accepted, if needed, please ask.
Please keep in mind that the JCB Pre-Pro program is a comprehensive program for pre-professional dancers, designed to further develop technique, strength, and artistry in a rigorous environment. Dancers selected for this program are chosen for their talent and potential to pursue a career in professional dance.
