The Jax City Ballet  Trainee Program is an intensive pre-professional experience created for exceptional young dancers who are ready to pursue ballet at the highest level.

Designed within the artistic environment of Jax City Ballet, the program offers focused training, individualized development, and meaningful performance experience. Trainees work closely with accomplished faculty and artistic leadership in an environment that emphasizes technical precision, artistic excellence, discipline, and professional standards.

Training is rooted in the traditions of classical ballet while preparing dancers for the demands of today’s professional stage. Each trainee is encouraged to develop not only exceptional technique, but also the musicality, artistry, strength, confidence, and stage presence necessary to become a compelling performer.

A defining element of the program is the opportunity to experience the standards and discipline of a professional ballet company. Selected trainees may participate in Jax City Ballet productions, rehearsals, and performance opportunities, gaining firsthand experience in the artistic and professional process.

From studio to stage, trainees learn what it means to approach ballet as a serious artistic profession—arriving prepared, working with purpose, responding to direction, and performing with confidence and refinement.

The Professional Trainee Program is intended for dancers who demonstrate commitment, potential, discipline, and a genuine desire to pursue advanced ballet training.

Admission is selective. Each dancer is considered individually based on technical level, artistic potential, training history, and readiness for the demands of the program.
